Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Finance Lead Analyst to join our team at Moody's in Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of corporate finance, credit analysis, and market trends. As a Corporate Finance Lead Analyst, you will be responsible for providing high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the credit quality of a range of entities and debt instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of corporates in Australia and New Zealand
  • Assess financial statements and economic/market data, as well as bond indentures, liquidity agreements, official statements, and other legal documents
  • Make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion
  • Present cogent rating rationales and lead committee discussions
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in finance, banking, economics, or related discipline with postgraduate qualifications strongly desired
  • CIMA/ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
  • A minimum of 5 or more years of relevant analytical experience preferably with a financial institution, predominantly in a credit role
  • Well-developed analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication capabilities
