About the Opportunity

At Icon Cancer Centre Australia, we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to take on a leadership role in our dynamic team.

We offer an exciting opportunity for a clinical leader to join our largest RT team at Gold Coast Uni & Gold Coast Private Hospitals. This pivotal position comes with complete ownership of leading your own team and will provide you with the autonomy to make a significant impact in cancer care.

  • This role involves overseeing the clinical operation of the unit, providing technical supervision and support to Radiation Therapists, and working closely with the Site Manager to ensure seamless operations.
  • You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards, enhancing quality of service, and patient experience.
  • This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with a 9-day fortnight.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide effective leadership and management to the Radiation Therapist team.
  2. Establish and maintain the highest standards and continually enhance the quality of service and patient experience.
  3. Ensure suitable training and support services are effectively provided to the Radiation Therapists.
  4. Apply effective resource and workflow management strategies to optimise quality and efficiency and productivity.
  5. Exhibit strong decision-making abilities.
  6. Maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients.
  7. Support change management initiatives and implement related processes.
  8. Ensure the operational and administrative functions that relate to the relevant unit, including staffing and equipment management, are undertaken in an effective, efficient manner.
  9. Provide recommendations for service quality improvements to the Site Manager.
  10. Participate in national level meetings and working groups as required, acting as the Radiation Therapy spokesperson for the site.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess excellent leadership skills, demonstrated success in leading a small team, and the ability to work effectively and positively as a member of the Multidisciplinary team.

You should have a strong understanding of effective oncology-based service delivery models, proven technical proficiency in treatment planning and delivery, and excellent clinical knowledge with the management of Radiation Oncology patients.
