Speech Pathologist Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to manage a caseload in the Gympie region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
  • Providing therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills and overcome challenges
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for patients
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, progress notes, and reports
  • Educating and supporting families and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
  • Staying updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices in speech pathology
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services
  • Managing caseloads effectively and meeting reporting requirements
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Good knowledge of speech and language development, communication disorders, and treatment approaches
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and adults with disabilities
  • Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its processes
