Job Overview

We are seeking skilled chefs to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for collaborating with senior chefs to create dishes that make a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of dishes in high-volume production settings
  • Follow recipes for menu preparation, ensuring adherence to cooking guidelines and standards
  • Execute food preparation tasks with focus on presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen areas
  • Conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross-contamination to ensure Workplace Health and Safety compliance
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or equivalent role
  • Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery or relevant qualification
  • Solid background in kitchen operations and management
  • Possession of a passion for food and creative flair
  • Able to work a 7-day rotating roster and adapt to changing priorities
