We provide leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, controls and software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.
In this role, you will operate fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.
You must be able to read exact measurements on a tape measure without assistance and have knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
The ideal candidate will also have the ability to read blueprints and possess self-motivation and a detail-oriented approach.
Job Responsibilities- Read job specifications and blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
- Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
- Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
- Detects workpiece defects and machine malfunctions.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpiece.
- Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, die, or workpieces.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of standard and metric measurements.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Team orientation.
- LOTO certification required.
- Crane operation certification required.
- Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
