About the Role

Curtin University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our team at the Goldfields University Department of Rural Health (GUDRH). As a key member of our research team, you will play a vital role in advancing our understanding of rural health and wellbeing, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions to address healthcare disparities in rural communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage research projects focused on rural health and wellbeing, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and knowledge translation.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing research funding and publishing high-impact research in reputable journals.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior researchers and students, and contribute to the development of the next generation of rural health researchers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, and community leaders, to ensure that research is relevant and impactful.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals, grant applications, and other funding opportunities.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as health sciences, social sciences, or humanities.
  • Established track record of research excellence, with a strong publication record in reputable journals.
  • Experience in leading and managing research projects, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge translation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
