About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Orientation & Mobility Specialist to join our team. As an expert in this field, you will work closely with clients to assess their mobility needs, develop personalized plans, and provide training and support to enhance their independence.

The successful candidate will possess approved qualifications in O&M as recognized by Orientation and Mobility Association Australasia (OMAA) and have experience working with diverse client groups. You will also be knowledgeable about various mobility aids and assistive technologies.

In this role, you will play a vital part in helping our clients achieve equity and access in their daily lives. Your expertise will enable them to navigate safely and confidently within their community, accessing essential services and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mobility needs and develop tailored plans to address these needs
  • Provide training and support to clients on the use of mobility aids and assistive technologies
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of O&M to continuously improve services

Based on market rates, the estimated annual salary for this role is $97,000 + Superannuation with Salary Packaging up to $15.9k, offering a competitive remuneration package.
