Compilers and transpilers are at the core of software development, ensuring compatibility and influencing design. In this pivotal role, you will set direction for feature implementation, defect correction, and product creation, working closely with engineering and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain compiler components and internal representations.
  • Analyze and extend complex legacy-to-modern language converters, leveraging expertise in graph algorithms and tree traversals.
  • Collaborate on accurate translation of legacy functionality, driving code generation optimization and hardware-software integration awareness.
  • Troubleshoot and debug compiler performance and correctness, implementing performant algorithms for static analysis and type inference.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in compiler development or transpiler design, with a strong grasp of internal structures and language parsing.
  • Proficiency in low-level languages (e.g., assembly) and ability to understand legacy enterprise languages.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including C/C++, Rust, and statically typed languages like OCaml and TypeScript.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, focusing on compilers or programming languages in C/C++, Rust, or system-level languages.
  • Experience with OCaml, TypeScript, or other statically typed languages, as well as understanding of legacy enterprise languages (COBOL, Fortran, etc.).
