Job Title: Container Unloading Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Container Unloading Team Lead to join our team at Young Guns Container Crew. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-6 people in unloading shipping containers, sorting, labelling and wrapping pallets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train a team of 5-6 people, including our Crew Leader, Team Players, and new Rookies.
  • Ensure the team is productive and efficient in their work.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and prioritize customer goals.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure everyone works efficiently.
  • Resolve team conflicts fairly and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Improve processes to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and setting goals for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Ability to lead, communicate, and manage a team.
  • Driver's license and access to a legal vehicle.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy boxes.
  • Forklift license, Police Check and Container Unloading experience (advantageous).
