The Role

  • You will be responsible for preparing, implementing and evaluating the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
  • You will have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips.
  • You will also be encouraged to utilise the amazing Feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.

About You

  • Efficient and capable cook.
  • Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
  • Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
  • Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies and specific dietary needs.
  • Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.
