Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a TAS teacher - Secondary, specialising in Design and Technology and/or Industrial Technology Timber. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to shape the practical and creative minds of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons in Stage 6 Design and Technology and/or Industrial Technology Timber, tailored to individual student needs.
  • Guide students through the design process, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide high-quality instruction, combining theoretical and practical approaches to learning.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, experimentation, and mutual respect.
  • Integrate technology and industry practices to enhance the learning experience, preparing students for real-world challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and develop strategic partnerships with industry professionals.
  • Assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events related to the TAS curriculum.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Design and Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) as a TAS teacher.
  • Expertise in Stage 6 Design and Technology and/or Industrial Technology Timber curriculum.
  • Strong passion for practical education and fostering student creativity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies and industry practices in the chosen specialization.
