About the Role

The ACT Heritage Library is seeking a qualified librarian to join their team as an Acquisitions Librarian. This key role involves building and preserving local stories through the collection and management of analogue and digital publications.

As a branch within Transport Canberra City Services, Libraries ACT offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about collecting and preserving local stories and have experience in team leadership and collection management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for collecting and preserving local stories
  • Manage and maintain the library's collection of analogue and digital publications
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve collection development goals

Eligibility/Other Requirements

  • Qualifications in librarianship or a related field
  • Experience in team leadership and collection management

Notes

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
