Supply Chain Coordinator


Job Description:

The role of the Supply Chain Coordinator involves developing and implementing effective inventory planning strategies to meet production and operational requirements.

The coordinator will play a pivotal part in ensuring a seamless flow of parts and materials, utilizing the SAP ERP system. Key responsibilities include collaborating with maintenance planners and other personnel to understand materials requirements, reviewing and reporting on daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and communicating status to stakeholders.

Liaising with vendors and other sites to secure parts availability is also crucial, as well as supporting master data accuracy through data reconciliation and review of materials. The coordinator will provide analytical reviews to identify anomalies, opportunities for process improvement and inventory optimization.

Additionally, conducting regular analysis, reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy and data governance is essential. Addressing data and material discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to prevent future inventory issues is also key.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will implement best practices and benchmarks for inventory planning, working closely with various stakeholders across different work streams.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in supply chain management or a related field
  • Proven experience in inventory planning, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in SAP (S/4 HANA) or similar industry-specific ERP systems
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Excel and MS Power BI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
