We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Professional to join our team in the Goldfields region. As a FIFO Handyman, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs across the mining village, ensuring a safe, tidy, and functional environment for residents and staff.

Your daily tasks will include conducting inspections of guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities to identify signs of damage, wear, or safety issues. You will also replace items such as light bulbs, smoke detector batteries, taps, and shower heads as part of preventative upkeep.

In addition, you will clear leaves, debris, and rubbish from external areas, including walkways, verandas, and car parks. You will perform minor outdoor maintenance, such as pressure washing surfaces, adjusting gates, and repairing fences.

As a key member of our team, you will complete assigned work orders using maintenance systems like MEX or similar platforms. You will escalate complex or licensed tasks to qualified trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers).

You will maintain a clean and orderly workshop, ensuring tools are in good working condition. You will respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from staff and guests.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in remote or FIFO mining villages
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to manage a daily job list while maintaining responsiveness to urgent issues
  • Proactive attitude and attention to safety and detail
  • WA Driver's Licence (C Class)
  • Construction White Card
  • Basic Handyman/Maintenance Certificate (if held)
  • First Aid & CPR
