Job Opportunity

We are currently recruiting a skilled Tradesperson to work in our National Maintenance Facility based in Appin NSW.

Responsibilities

  • Work on gas engines and recondition cylinder heads and small components.
  • Assess parts for reuse and recondition engines and other equipment.
  • Supervise apprentices in training and teach correct work practices.
  • Test engines on completion of overhaul and paint and prepare engines for dispatch to site.
  • Assist with removal and installation of engines onsite and maintain safety culture to a high standard.
  • Support company policies and procedures as documented in the employment policies.
  • Travel to sites around Australia to perform breakdown activities.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate and previous experience with diesel or gas engine repair and reconditioning.
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Deutz and Jenbacher engines is highly desirable.
  • Self-starter and team player with good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and be focused and effective under pressure.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
