About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hospital Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare service.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing a clean, hygienic and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our community.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also have knowledge of Work Health & Safety principles and manual handling practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing cleaning services to ensure a clean, hygienic and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff
  • Working independently and as part of a team to achieve high-quality results
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues or concerns
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and suggesting improvements to processes

We operate four hospital sites on Dharawal Country in the Illawarra: Coledale Hospital, Bulli Hospital, Wollongong Hospital and Shellharbour Hospital. Our hospitals offer a range of services, including medical, surgical and emergency care.
