Job Title

A challenging role is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure projects or programs, contributing to the development and implementation of accommodation solutions, and managing risk, scope, time cost and quality across multiple concurrent projects.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the strategic alignment of accommodation solutions to support frontline capabilities. The successful applicant will have the ability to lead a project team as well as projects and programs with key stakeholders across a range of levels and disciplines, excel under pressure, demonstrate an excellent ability to make sound decisions and use judgement across a range of issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of major infrastructure projects or programs including planning, procurement, public works submissions, construction and commissioning phases.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of accommodation solutions, principles, standards and policies, in order to achieve efficient and optimal use of AFP premises and resources.
  • Manage risk, scope, time cost and quality across multiple concurrent projects.
Essential Requirements
  • You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Commonwealth procurement policies and legislation including construction procurement.
Desirable Requirements

Have contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role including: Commonwealth Procurement, Project and Property Budget Management - Construction, Contract Negotiation and Management, Managing Internal and External Stakeholder Relationships, Risk Management, Communication and Change Management.
