The Program Support Worker plays a crucial role in providing a strengths-based and trauma-informed response to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women and young people at Good Shepherd's emergency accommodation property.
This position works closely with the Case Management and Therapeutic teams to support women and young people to achieve their identified goals. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the program, complete practical tasks, and ensure the smooth delivery of service and the running of the accommodation.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate and facilitate activities that meet the needs of women and young people
- Undertake activities with women and young people to assist them in meeting their case plan goals
- Develop life and living skills for women and young people
- Arrange and facilitate access to appointments for clients
- Provide support to specialist family violence practitioners and the therapeutic team
- Transport clients as required
- Assist families during crisis situations
- Complete inductions for clients, to the site and the local area
- Act as a point of contact for general enquiries
- Perform light cleaning duties as required
