Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Kalgoorlie Hospital, you will play a vital role in improving maternal and infant health in a rural community. This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment for 80 hours per fortnight.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Consultant – Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the specialist clinical care of Obstetric and Gynaecological patients attending Kalgoorlie Health Campus as well as specialist clinical services across the region, including Esperance. You will work alongside two other specialists and three registrars, with the on-call roster supplemented by three GPOs. The department plays an active role in teaching students from the Rural Clinical School and is an accredited training site for CWH, basic and advanced DRANZCOG.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and delivering excellent clinical performance, as well as administrative leadership in combination with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Maternity. You will also participate in policy development and review for clinical governance and work collaboratively with other clinical practitioners.

Eligibility
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. Applicants on a visa can be appointed on a fixed-term contract.
