Role Summary

An Optical Receptionist/Assistant is a key member of our optometry practice, providing excellent customer service and administration. This role combines optical knowledge with a friendly, patient-centered approach to ensure our clients receive the best possible care and eyewear solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner, both in-person and on the phone
  • Schedule appointments and manage the front desk calendar
  • Process payments, insurance claims, and other financial transactions
  • Assist clients with frame selection, measurements, and minor adjustments
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area
  • Provide basic information about eye health and vision correction

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on phone etiquette
  • Knowledge of frame styles, lens options, and current eyewear trends
  • Experience in frame selection, adjustments, and repairs
  • Basic understanding of eye health and vision correction
  • Ability to explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner
