**Job Summary**
We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team at Capcoal Surface Operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics, a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including mobile machinery and workshop operations.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues, often under tight deadlines.
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Developing and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including inventory management and troubleshooting logs.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A trade qualification in Diesel fitting or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, preferably in an open-cut coal mine environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A strong understanding of hydraulic systems and electrical circuits.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
