CMW Geosciences is a leading geotechnical consulting firm with a strong presence in Australia and New Zealand. Our team of experts provides high-quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, mining, and energy sectors.

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our Perth-based design team. As a key member of our team, you will work on a variety of projects, including inner city buildings, infrastructure, and remote tailings storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide design solutions, options, and initiatives to meet client needs
  • Contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works, infrastructure, and tailings storage facilities
  • Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards
  • Maintain good relationships with existing clients and work with the client relations/business development team to target new opportunities

Qualifications/Experience/Attributes

  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
  • Team player
  • Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience working in a geotechnical consulting environment
  • Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably
  • Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary
  • Proven experience in design delivery of complex projects
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Current Aus drivers license
  • Combination of office-based and field-based work, ability to travel
