About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team at Bupa Baulkham Hills. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care home facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality maintenance services across the care home, including repairs and maintenance, to ensure facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard.
  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance, repair, and improvement works to the building, grounds, and equipment in-line with our maintenance schedules.
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement or corrective activities associated with the care home facilities.
  • Assist in the development of repair and maintenance budget, monitor the actual utilization of the budget, and escalate if there is any over expenditure.
  • Document and communicate team and individual performance expectations.
  • Manage the work of Maintenance, Cleaning, and Laundry Assistants across the shift in view of dining requirements.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications at post-trade or Advanced Certificate or Associate Diploma level; and/or relevant skills training or experience.
  • Experience in Property Maintenance and Building Works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • The ability to solve problems independently.
