Job Title: Data Scientist (Australian Government)

">Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team in the Australian Government. As a Data Scientist, you will be working on a range of projects that leverage advanced analytics techniques and scientific principles to extract valuable information from data.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and insights
  • Developing and implementing predictive models to inform business decisions
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement data-driven solutions

You will have access to some of Australia's largest and most unique data sets, and will work across all aspects of government, including policy development, program management, and service delivery.

">Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification/s in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, actuarial studies, physics, engineering, economics, econometrics, or any other discipline with a strong quantitative component
  • Australian citizenship
  • Completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification between 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2026

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
