We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Women's Health Specialist to join our team in the Gynaecology Outpatient Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, coordinate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

About the Role:

This full-time position is based at Royal Hospital for Women, where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from adolescents to adults, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Gynaecology Outpatient Department
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles
  • Clinical experience in Gynaecological Nursing, acute Women's Health, and/or clinic/outpatient setting is desirable but not essential with a demonstrated commitment to professional development
