Network Security Architect Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to contribute to our team's success.

Job Description

As a key member of our network architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network solutions that meet the business requirements of our organisation. Your expertise in network security technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE, and SSE will enable us to stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

You will work closely with our security team to integrate security practices into network design and delivery, ensuring that our network infrastructure is aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to hands-on architecture and detailed high-level design for the company's network refresh project.
  • Participating in requirement gathering, handover processes, and implementation support.
  • Acting as a mentor to the Senior Network Engineer.
  • Working closely with the security team and reporting directly to the Infrastructure Lead.
  • Collaborating with the national infrastructure team to integrate security practices into network design and deliver business objectives.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating security protocols to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Conducting regular audits of the network and security systems to identify potential issues.
  • Developing and implementing disaster recovery plans.
  • Providing technical guidance and advice to team members and stakeholders.
  • Staying abreast of advancements in network security technologies.
  • Responding to network and security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a similar Network Architect role.
  • Strong experience in network refresh projects, including technology and carrier transitions.
  • Deep understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, and SSE (Security Service Edge) - essential.
  • Exposure to SASE security and SSC components of SD-WAN - essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, guide, and integrate with the team.
