Primary Education Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced primary teacher to join our team in a full-time role starting January 2025.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching primary level students and developing educational programs that cater to their diverse needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students;
  • A commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development;
  • The ability to provide a child-safe environment in accordance with child-safe standards;
  • The skills to participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and follow child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
  • The capacity to act in accordance with the Child Safety Code of Conduct;
  • The ability to identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with child safety responding and reporting obligations policy and procedures;
  • The skill to ensure students' views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
  • The ability to model and promote the vision and values of the school;
  • The skill to teach an area of the curriculum to primary levels;
  • The ability to maintain records of class attendance and record student progress;
  • The skill to implement effective student management consistent with the school's strategic plan;
  • The ability to attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
  • The capacity to be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia;
  • Proof of identity;
  • Recognised teaching qualification;
  • Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable);
  • Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT);
  • Statements of service from previous child-connected roles;
  • References from previous child-connected roles.
