Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and results-driven professional to fill the role of Golf Area Manager.

About the Role:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to take ownership of Rain Bird Golf's distribution strategy in Australia and drive growth through effective planning and execution.
  • You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with distributors, tracking their performance, and providing regular feedback to help them succeed.
  • As part of this role, you will also identify and engage with key market stakeholders, such as investors, developers, golf course management companies, contractors, architects/designers, superintendents, specifiers, and consultants.
  • Your goal will be to support golf customers by understanding their businesses and needs, identifying Rain Bird products, services, or systems that meet those needs.
  • Collaboration with the Golf Sales Business Unit will be crucial to executing marketing activities in the market.
  • You will evaluate local market conditions and provide recommendations on pricing promotions, product introductions, and strategic planning for the market.

What We Are Looking For:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Science.
  • At least 7 years' experience in successful product sales and/or specification.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant sales and market share growth.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Experience selling through distribution and contractor channels.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Australian golf course market and knowledge of key influencers in the industry.
