About the Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity for an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga. As a Palliative Care Registered Nurse, you will be part of a highly dedicated team that provides exceptional nursing care and advice to patients with palliative care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with palliative care needs
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of palliative care policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in palliative care
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Experience working in the specialty area of palliative care in an inpatient setting or community
  • Four years post-graduate experience and working towards a post-graduate palliative care qualification
  • Evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, and analysis in your daily practice as a registered nurse
  • Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize competing workloads within a complex environment
