**Job Summary**

Wave International is a leading resource development firm with 20 years of global experience in engineering, project delivery, project and asset management, and providing project strategies and solutions across critical metals, battery minerals, mineral sands, bulk commodities, gold, and base metals.

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Perth Engineering group to meet the increased demand for critical metals and battery mineral projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical design drawings (SLDs, Schematics, and Terminations) from first principles, relevant standards, and best practices.
  • Lead electrical design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project strategies and solutions.
  • Perform electrical calculations, including load studies, cable sizing, and electrical equipment sizing calculations.
  • Prepare specification documentation for electrical equipment in a mining environment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and scopes of work.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mining sector electrical design, commissioning, testing, and site experience.
  • Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical schematics design in mining/mineral processing environments.
  • Leadership skills to manage design projects and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
