Postdoctoral Research Associate in Preclinical Imaging

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Biological Resources Imaging Lab (BRIL) at the University of New South Wales. The successful candidate will have expertise in biomedical imaging and experience with multimodal imaging experiments.

The primary objective of this role is to facilitate imaging studies for MPI, MRI, and other modalities conducted in BRIL and support researchers across Australia as a National Imaging Facility (NIF) Fellow.

This is an excellent opportunity to bring your specific expertise to BRIL and contribute to preclinical imaging research. You will be conducting multimodal imaging experiments, assisting in the development of MPI, MRI, and other imaging protocols, developing novel imaging tracers, evaluating and visualizing imaging data, and integrating data from multiple modalities available in BRIL.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting high-quality imaging experiments using MPI, MRI, and other modalities
  • Developing and implementing new imaging protocols and techniques
  • Evaluating and visualizing imaging data to support research outcomes
  • Collaborating with researchers across Australia to support NIF activities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a biomedical imaging-related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong expertise in operating and managing imaging instrumentation
  • Experience with related imaging technologies, preferably molecular imaging tracer methods
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to following UNSW's policies and health and safety guidelines
