Fulton Hogan, a leading construction and utilities contractor, is seeking experienced Vacuum Excavation Specialists to join its Water/Civil Projects team within the Utilities business.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in operating large Vacuum Excavation plant to drive their career further and gain industry-relevant experience. The role involves general Vac Truck operations, maintaining and operating safe, clean, and secure plant and equipment, and undertaking general labouring duties on civil works projects as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Vacuum Excavation plant efficiently and safely
  • Maintain and inspect plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Contribute to the successful completion of civil works projects by performing general labouring duties
  • Identify and provide solutions to routine on-site problems
Requirements:
  • White Card and HR open driver's licence at a minimum
  • Experience in operating large Vacuum Excavation plant (minimum 3 years)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, and provide solutions to routine on-site problems
  • Good understanding of day-to-day maintenance requirements for designated machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret utility plans for service location purposes and mark-up plans to communicate service conflict locations to project leads
