This key role focuses on:

  • Developing and implementing internal solutions and software development – working closely with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver features and services to our internal customers
  • Primarily working on the backend with Java, but may need to work with other languages and environments
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing and advocating for engineering needs within the group
  • Taking ownership in achieving goals, improving processes, and solutions
  • Collaborating across teams to work on new insights and improvements that drive growth and success

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Commercial experience in software development environments
  • A proven track record of effective collaboration and communication
  • Extensive experience with Java, Distributed Systems, and Relational Databases
  • The ability to write high-quality, performant code with thorough testing
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with AWS
  • Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation concepts
  • Full-stack development experience

As a key member of our Experimentation Platform team, you'll help accelerate growth and delight by developing custom in-house platforms for user data analysis. You'll collaborate closely with seasoned Data Scientists and Engineers on projects impacting Canva as a whole.
