About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team at YHA Sydney Harbour. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages, including taking orders and operating a point-of-sale terminal.
  • Clean and maintain the cafe area, including equipment and facilities.
  • Refill drink fridges and snacks, and maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Support the cafe team with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a barista in a fast-paced, premium establishment.
  • High volume experience, with the ability to work on multiple orders at once.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Good cash handling skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
  • Outgoing personality and a genuine interest in the day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Exceptional presentation and grooming.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
