About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team at LOD in Brisbane, working in-house on assignment with a large national organisation. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or in-house legal team, with a focus on commercial property and leasing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on commercial leases, lease assignments, and other related documents
  • Managing leases, including tracking key dates, renewals, and amendments
  • Conducting title searches and due diligence
  • Completing company de-registrations
  • Preparing Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) notifications
  • Drafting and negotiating bank guarantees
  • Conducting legal research on property law and regulations

About You

To be suitable for this role, you will have:

  • Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal team, ideally assisting with commercial property, leasing, and general commercial matters
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with all levels of the business
  • Availability to work either 2 days per week or 16 hours across a week, with a requirement to attend the client's office at least 1 day per week
