Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispatch Team Leader to join our team at Auto Parts Group in Sydney.

About the Role:
  • This is a hands-on position responsible for motivating the dispatch team to achieve daily targets, maintaining high standards of quality, promoting a safe working environment, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a team leader or similar role, with a good understanding of ERP systems and knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  2. Managing inventory, assets, and returns to ensure minimal waste and optimal use of resources.
  3. Loading and unloading delivery vehicles when required, adhering to safety protocols.
  4. Supporting the Warehouse Management team in day-to-day operations and guiding the team to achieve business targets.
  5. Controlling pick allocation work on the computer system.
  6. Providing line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, and ensuring KPI targets and quality standards are met.
  7. Developing the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards and foster a culture of working safely.
  8. Complying with all company policies, guidelines, directions, and QA practices, ensuring the team is appropriately trained on procedures.
  9. Working closely with the Dispatch Supervisor to ensure the team operates at optimal capacity.
  10. Actively participating in picking, packing, or other tasks when workloads dictate.
  11. Managing site security when required.
