Job Description

We are seeking passionate and committed professionals to join our team as Youth Development Support Specialists. As a key member of our Launch 180 program, you will provide outreach support to young people transitioning to independent living. Your role will involve building strong relationships with clients to understand their aspirations and work together to set and achieve their life goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective and intensive support to young people to develop their independence and self-reliance across all life domains.
  • Support young people connected with Leaving Care Services who are transitioning into independent supported accommodation.
  • Engage in learning about diverse cultures and ensure inclusive services for Aboriginal people and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Role model positive attributes that allow young people to learn and feel safe, reducing their vulnerability and building hope and resilience.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Child Services, Youth Work, or Child, Youth & Family Intervention. Qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, or related fields are highly regarded.
  • Australian Drivers Licence and roadworthy insured vehicle for work-related travel (reimbursed appropriately).

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
