The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fabrication Technician to join our team at APA. As a Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication and assembly of various equipment and components.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our experienced team of tradespeople to learn the latest techniques and technologies in fabrication and welding.

As a Fabrication Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale repairs to large-scale installations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of various equipment and components
  • Work closely with experienced tradespeople to learn the latest techniques and technologies in fabrication and welding
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Develop skills in areas such as welding, metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly
  • Participate in on-the-job training and formal classroom instruction
Requirements
  • Available to commence in January 2025
  • Ready to ask questions, work hard, listen and learn from your mistakes
  • Enjoy working outdoors and getting your hands dirty
  • Able to listen carefully, follow directions in the interest of safety for yourself, the team, assets, and environment
  • A year 12 school leaver or a mature applicant
  • Able to work in confined spaces / at heights
  • Licensed to drive a motor vehicle
  • Self-motivated
  • A good communicator
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated to learning and developing your skills
