Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating the company's global infrastructure. This team owns all data centers and the equipment that supports them, ensuring customers have uninterrupted access to AWS services.

This role involves working on complex problems with multiple variables. As a member of this team, you'll collaborate with engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other professionals to deliver high-quality results while minimizing costs.

The Data Center Design Engineering team is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead transformative mechanical design solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. You'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation data center technologies and shaping critical infrastructure that powers cloud computing.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing mechanical design engineering team in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Drive global design consistency and standardize mechanical systems across regions
  • Manage and approve innovative designs and equipment submissions
  • Establish robust processes for internal development and vendor management
  • Oversee procurement and technical specifications for mechanical equipment
  • Manage team performance, hiring, growth opportunities, and annual goal reporting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Extensive experience in mission-critical design
  • Proven project management skills
  • Experience managing a team of mechanical engineers
