Job Title: Data Platform Operations Specialist

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining real-time data streaming, distribution, and secure file transfer platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, resilience, and security of these platforms.

  • Deploying, operating, and managing data streaming and distribution platforms in a hybrid environment consisting of on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Performing day-to-day platform operations like upgrades, scaling, patching, and monitoring via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Remediating aged asset and security risks by migrating data distribution platforms to new architecture.
  • Building out standard operating procedures, fulfilling service requests, resolving incidents, and analyzing problems.
  • Building and maintaining DevOps pipelines and practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment processes.

You will work closely with the development and support teams to effectively support, enhance, and maintain technical solutions. This includes adhering to change management policies, participating in intraday and after-hours support arrangements, and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in deploying and operating data platforms in a production environment, building, deploying, and managing services in a cloud environment using DevOps tooling, and experience as a platform engineer with Unix and Windows knowledge and scripting skills.

A proven record of delivering technical solutions that meet set requirements is highly desirable. Additionally, experience working with TIBCO technologies like EMS (Enterprise Messaging Service), BusinessWorks is also desired.
