About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business, you will work with some of Australia's most innovative and fast-moving B2B companies, helping them scale up and grow globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers to accelerate their products and initiatives, recommending best-practice cloud architectures aligned with their long-term business outcomes.
  • Drive technical solutions discussions with customers, diving deep into complex technical challenges and crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
  • Scope and own each customer engagement, ensuring clear and well-defined objectives and success criteria.
  • Define and execute on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams, including Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, and AWS professional services consultants.
  • Act as a thought leader in the wider community, educating and sharing best practices through presentations, white papers, blogs, and workshops.
  • Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform.
  • Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision-makers across multiple domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform.

A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect, you will help our customers define scalable, resilient, and secure architectures using the latest technologies provided by AWS and our partners. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their goals.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas, such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, full-stack, application, or integration architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
