CSSD Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled CSSD Technician to join our team at Healthscope. As a CSSD Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thermal disinfection inspections, packaging, and sterilization of instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas.
• Comply with AS/NZ standards and GENCA regulations.
• Operate, interpret, and document all machinery operational requirements.
• Report and document all quality activities.
• Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.

Selection Criteria:

• Sound knowledge of AS/NZ standards.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a CSSD or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation and sterilization processes.
• Experience with tracking systems and endoscopy reprocessing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer literacy skills, including MS Office and various databases.
• Certificate III qualifications in a related field.
• An interest in promoting best practice patient care and a focus on professional development.
