We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to oversee bus depot operations in Mildura.

The Role

This role plays a vital part in ensuring public transport, school, and charter contract requirements are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all bus operations, including route, school, and charter services.

  • Coordinate and manage bus operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Generate and maintain compliant rosters for operational staff, ensuring that all staffing needs are met.
  • Process weekly payroll for operational staff, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and finalise claims arising from them, taking necessary actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including schools, councils, and government authorities, to resolve customer complaints and issues.

To excel in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in the transport or related industry, with a strong understanding of bus operations and management.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working culture, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
  • Comprehensive computer skills, including Word and Excel software, to manage data and reports.
  • A strong understanding of the Bus Safety Act and Regulations, with the ability to apply knowledge in a practical setting.
