About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Maritime Emissions and Environment section. As the Director of Maritime Decarbonisation, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on maritime decarbonisation initiatives and developing and implementing our domestic maritime decarbonisation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on maritime decarbonisation initiatives
  • Develop and implement our domestic maritime decarbonisation program
  • Work with state and territories, and industry to deliver green shipping initiatives
  • Negotiate green shipping corridors with other countries
  • Represent Australia at International Maritime Organization meetings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate your ability to achieve results and quality outcomes, communicate effectively, collaborate across diverse teams, and think strategically.

You will also need to have a growth mindset, be willing to continue to learn and develop, and foster an environment for team members to do the same.
