Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at the luxurious InterContinental Hayman Island Great Barrier Reef.

As a member of our hotel's maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing painting, plastering, minor carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repairs throughout the hotel.

Assist with wall and surface preparation and basic bathroom maintenance.

Our ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson who can work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform painting, plastering, minor carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repairs as required.
  • Assist with wall and surface preparation and basic bathroom maintenance.
  • Instruct other engineering staff in correct methods of surface preparation and paint application.
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety guidelines and hotel policies.
