Job Title:

Clinical Lead in Anaesthesia

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team in providing high-quality clinical services. As Clinical Lead in Anaesthesia, you will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient service delivery through leadership and management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical direction and management within the Department of Anaesthesia
  • Coordinate medical staff for safe and effective service delivery
  • Oversee departmental clinical governance
  • Contribute to teaching, accreditation readiness, incident management, and driving continuous improvement in patient care and service delivery
  • Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork within the department
Requirements:
  • Possess or be eligible for specialist registration (Anaesthesia) with the relevant regulatory authority
  • Possess Fellowship of the relevant anaesthetic college and/or equivalent specialist recognition
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position
  • Sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesia demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards
  • Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behavior to junior medical staff
