Job Title

We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented professional to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The Community Rehabilitation Program provides goal-directed, community-based rehabilitation services to clients following injury or hospitalisation. The multidisciplinary team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, dietitians, neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, allied health assistants, rehabilitation medicine doctors, community health nurses, pharmacists, and social workers.

The successful candidate will provide therapy support services to individuals and groups as directed by the Allied Health Professionals. They will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver a flexible and responsive service that meets each client's identified rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy support services to individuals and groups under the direction of Allied Health Professionals
  • Contribute to the smooth operation and ongoing development of the Community Rehabilitation Program
  • Support administrative duties to assist with client management
Requirements
  • Completion of Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent from a registered training organisation
  • Higher qualification in a relevant health science discipline at Diploma or Associate Diploma level
  • Certificate level qualification in a relevant health-related field
  • Overseas-trained Allied Health practitioner with a qualification at Diploma level or higher
  • Current Victorian Driver's License (unrestricted)
Key Selection Criteria
  • Previous experience within a hospital or working with a multidisciplinary team
  • Sound interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well within a team and relate to medical, nursing, and Allied Health staff and patients
  • Solid knowledge base of medical terminology
  • High level of English literacy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously within scope of practice
  • Sound computer skills
