We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to fill the position of Mechanical Equipment Specialist. This is a full-time, permanent role with a 38-hour workweek, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment failures, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence and maximize uptime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment logs, repair histories, and spare parts inventory.
  • Create, review, and follow standardized work procedures.
  • Operate enterprise resource planning systems for workflow management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, providing regular updates on priority ranking, access, fault finding, and planned maintenance.
  • Work safely, adhering to established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, take 5, permit to work, and near-miss reporting.
Requirements
  • A recognized trades certificate, minimum Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical (Mechanical Fitter) or higher.
  • Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrable experience working with pumps, mills, automated valves, and pipes.
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of technical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and understand piping and instruction diagrams.
  • Basic machining, welding, and fabrication skills.
  • Sound computer skills, with knowledge of SAP beneficial.
  • Australian work rights.
