About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps professional to join our team at Legal Aid NSW. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining our end-to-end infrastructure and application service monitoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to streamline our monitoring platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize monitoring requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a unified telemetry platform using OpenTelemetry technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to teams on monitoring-related capabilities.
  • Contribute to improving overall customer experience by providing proactive monitoring-related capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fostering DevOps culture and advocating its best practices.
  • Deep understanding and practical application of agile methodologies.
  • Experience with orchestration, configuration management, and deployment automation tools such as Ansible or Bitbucket pipelines.
  • High-level technical experience in utilizing and/or extending monitoring platforms with experience in one or more of the following: New Relic, xMatters, Splunk, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry recognized monitoring toolset.
  • Hands-on infrastructure-as-code (IaC) development and deployment experience, Terraform is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
