Biomedical Research Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished researcher to fill a vital role at our institution.

Key Responsibilities include designing and conducting interdisciplinary experiments, training undergraduate students in laboratory techniques, conducting literature reviews and developing research project hypotheses, sourcing consumables and lab equipment as needed.

  • Maintain expertise in microscopy data acquisition and presentation using Fiji/ImageJ, Illustrator/Photoshop, MATLAB/Python/R.
  • Develop molecular biology skills including cloning, cell culture, Western blotting, fixation and fluorescent labelling.

Requirements for the position include a PhD or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field, or a bachelor's degree with higher level study relevant to the discipline, experience in microscope maintenance and development, and advanced skills in fluorescence microscopy data processing and presentation.
